Technologies

HVC has maintained an aggressive involvement in the open source community. We've participated in numerous projects at the beta stage and most notably in the audio, video, and VOIP sectors, in addition to a 12-year background in networking and server-side programming on the Linux /Unix platform.

HVC has conducted one year of study into the virtual world of Second Life. Sometimes 'confused as a game', Second life encompasses its own social structure where participants live, work, socialize, run a business, romance, and even marry in a highly sophisticated 3D physics environment.

 

Research here was /is still largely focused on the creation of 'virtual' social entertainment venues where at this point, hundreds of people (worldwide) converge on a romantic island getaway where great music, beautiful people, dancing, and flirtatious interaction occur in an upscale, open-air nightclub on the beach. Sounds a little unbelievable, doesn't it? Indeed, it's one those phenomena's most need to experience to fully comprehend...

Our particular venues capture an 'unusually' diverse demographic of 25 to 57-years of age. While still in the semi beta stage of development, the Second Life virtual world grid provides singles with a new, (beyond imagination) means of connecting with others at an amazingly intimate level, but within the safe confines of the Metaverse.
